Space Saving
The innovative Axial Glide System replaces the rails of sliding miter saws. This allows the saw to be placed with it’s back against a wall saving up to 12 inches. Miter saws are often set up with material supports to the sides. Now the space savings possible compared to a sliding miter saw are massive.
Durable
Rails get out of whack pretty easily and are fragile. If knocked they can suffer damage easily. The Axial Glide arm is rock solid. Cast from aluminum and supported by 12 sealed ball bearings. It’s a solid piece of engineering that’s built to last. Endurance tested by Bosch to at least 500,000 repetitions. Bosch normally test slide saws to 100,000 repetitions.
Precise
In action there’s no detectable play in the glide assembly. Smooth and effortless the tight action translates to consistent accuracy, even for compound cuts where this saw really shines.

The Bosch GCM12SD Cuts taller and wider than it’s predecessor, the highly respected 5412.
